Sanae Sugano was born in Japan. Her interest in art was awoken for the first time when she studied Japanese calligraphy at school. Moving to Europe renewed her passion for painting and drawing. This motivated her to follow courses at well-known art academies in the UK and Belgium.
The inspiration for her work springs not only from her cultural roots but also from her eye for the beauty in everyday subjects such as landscapes, still life and the human figure. She interprets the image concerned with an abstract representation, which is created from a composition of various unconventional as well as traditional materials. |
